Ten Days

Ten days after our breakup, she sent me a message asking if I was still feeling sad.
I told her the truth.
I was still grieving.
The waves still came without warning, but I believed I would be okay.
I thanked her for checking on me.
I told her not to worry about me, and that she should go and live her life to the fullest.
She replied simply,
